In an effort to capitalize on the popularity of the NFL Network’s FiOS RedZone channel viewers “spotting the quad” during the regular season the NFL/NFLN’s Director of Social Media asked contempt to develop a campaign that “gamified” the sharing of RedZone quad screen shots.
NFL Network’s RedZone channel is part of the NFL Sunday Ticket package provided by Verizon’s FiOS to digital subscribers.
The RedZone channel tunes in to games that are in or near the “red zone”, the area from the defensive team’s 20 yard line to the goal line when the offensive team is most likely to score.
On occasion there are 4 teams in the “red zone” simultaneously causing the RedZone channel to “activate the quad”.
